Charlie High

Charlie’s interest in the environment and organic forms heavily influences her work. Her pieces combine visual and tactile qualities, evident in the variety of surface textures she adopts. Considered use of 18ct gold, semi precious stones and beads add touches of light and colour, subtly delighting the observer as well as the wearer.

Charlie first started making jewellery in 1995 while teaching in Lisbon, Portugal. She has an impressive CV, where she studied jewellery design at Chelsea College, London, followed by an HND in Jewellery at Sir John Cass. She has completed a City & Guilds course in ‘Jewellery and Silversmithing’ at Chichester College, followed by Fine Jewellery at Advanced Level.

Charlie moved to Brighton in 1999, and has since exhibited her work at several ‘Open Houses’ during the annual Brighton Festival, as well the local ‘Made’ Craft and Design Fair.
