Mirri started out by making sculpture and has a degree in fine art. However following a change in direction and scale, she re-trained as a jeweller and began working as a jewellery designer.
For six years she was employed as a maker and designer for an award-winning jeweller, before relocating to Cornwall and setting up her own business. ?
“?I am very much inspired by the beauty and edginess I see in my surroundings. The combinations and components in nature and life, and the multiples that build to create strength .I love the mixture of strong and fragile, and solid forms sitting comfortably with something quite delicate.
Many pieces of my jewellery have moving parts, which are there to connect the wearer to the jewellery and to help it become part of their identity.
I hope to make wearable , original jewellery that will be treasured.”
