Polly Doherty is a young and innovative designer currently embarking on an exciting career as a studio jeweller.
Having recently graduated from London’s prestigious Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design, her work is emerging with a unique identity and style.
Taking her visual influences from modern interior design, Polly creates a unique comparison between natural materials, for example slate, and clean geometric shapes. Her pieces are accentuated with striking monochrome tones, contrasting oxidised blackened silver, with a cool white matt finish.
With awards from Goldsmiths including a travel scholarship, Polly is looking to continue experimenting and indulging in her new love of slate and finding new ways of incorporating its natural beauty into wearable pieces of jewellery.
