Harriet French Jewellery Designer

Harriet French

Harriet studied 3D-Design at Brighton University and was awarded the Micheal Bloomstein first place prize of silver. Since graduation she has worked alongside Julian Stephens in the Goldsmiths gallery refining her individual jewellery style. Studying Mokume-gane, an ancient Japanese metal layering technique, under the expert tuition of Alistair McCallum at Westdean College, has strongly influenced the diversity of colour and pattern in her pieces. Most recently Harriet has returned to Brighton University to complete a master’s degree in Sustainable Design, aiming to develop an ethical awareness toward jewellery manufacturing.
