Sterling Silver Cross pendant on silver cable necklace

This fantastic solid silver cross pendant is designed and hand made by Julian Stephens. The top surface of the simple, chunky form has a highly unusual surface texture, created by using a modified hammer that indents this special texture into the surface of the silver. This textured design named 'Benneytex', and the tools to create it are unique to Julian. The pendant suspends from a simple and strong silver cable wire which invisibly runs throgh a hole drilled into the top section of the cross. The pendant measures approx 22mm in length, 17mm wide, and 4mm deep making this solid piece heavy and durable. The pendant is made by an in-house process called 'sandcasting', where an impression is made into specialist casting sand and molten metal is poured in.
