Gold plated silver ring with smoky quartz

This silver ring, luxuriant in a coating of 18ct yellow gold hides in its depths a flawless smoky quartz baguette, which sparkles darkly in the shadows between the rings holding it. The ring, single at the base and split in two to hold the stone is a clean, contemporary jewel with an edge of renaissance opulence in its warm colours.
