Meet The Team
Julian Stephens
Julian opened his shop in 2003 after ten years in the trade working first as a silversmith making trophies and church ware, and then as a fine jeweller.
‘In 2003 my ambition was to create a state-of-the-art workshop apable of producing the very finest quality jewellery’
Julian has a team of talented makers turning their skills to realize Julian’s designs both for the window and one-off bespoke pieces.
Katie Bowler
Katie can often be found on the front desk, helping customers pick out the perfect piece of jewellery, but she also works hard behind the scenes to keep all of the classes at the North Laine Jewellery School running smoothly. We would be lost here without Katie keeping us all on track!
Pierpaolo Belfiore
Pierpaolo came to us fresh out of Plumpton college after winning the Micheal Bloomstein award for – jewellery. Since then he has honed his skills and become, in our humble opinions, one of the best stone setters in Brighton. His Italian charm keeps the workshop playful all year round
Barnaby Simpson
Barnaby has been working here at Julian Stephens since – and has become a vital member of the JS team, we’d be lost without him! Any and every repair job goes through his hands and mind and he endeavors to find a way of restoring even the most fiddly of repairs. Barnaby was Julian’s very first employee
Katia Lemenova
Katya came into jewellery after a long career in engineering meaning her attention to detail is second to none! She has been with us here at Julian Stephens since 2010 and within her own jewellery craft specializes in enameling and restoring antique jewellery pieces.
